Welcome to Chris Hacker Motorsports. Chris Hacker is fourteen years old and started racing when he was eight. His first car was a Quarter Midget. At nine years old he started racing a Bandolero in the INEX sanctioned series for two years. Chris moved up to the INEX Legend car series at age twelve. In 2013, at the age of 13, Chris started racing CRA Late Models and became the youngest driver to ever win a CRA event! "My life long dream is to become a Sprint Cup driver in the NASCAR series."
Chris suffered from a Brachial Plexus Injury to his left arm during birth. The brachial plexus is a network of nerves that control the muscles of the shoulder, arm, elbow, wrist, hand, and fingers. He has undertaken three major surgeries to his arm. He does not have full range of motion and suffers major weakness in his left arm due to the nerve damage. The most important thing is that his arm doesn't stop him at all. He can do almost anything anyone else can do, he just does it in a little bit different way. When Chris drives he drives only with his right arm and just lets his left arm sit on the steering wheel.
The Silver Ribbon Campaign is to increase awareness and support of children with disabilities. The color silver represents "The silver lining behind every cloud and to show that our children our more than their disabilities."
